So I'm ditching this blog. For anyone that bookmarked THIS blog, you can find the new blog at http://timcothran.squarespace.com. Check it out! It's mucho better than blogger (because I can't write my own html...)

Zero-G

Nick managed to escape the pull of gravity again Wednesday night. Just two more events to document after this, both of which have the potential to be sweeter than all the previous shots. Enjoy.

Got my Facebook username secured.

I know - big deal right? Well, I needed 100 fans, so thanks everyone who became a fan. Go to http://www.facebook.com/timcothranphotography to see it. It took less than a week! Now, to prevent this post from being completely useless, here a re a few new product photos. These are pretty basic - it's still hard to light them though. I'll try to spice them up a bit in the future.

More from Katie + Mike

Ok, I have all the photos processed from their wedding now. So here are some more for your viewing enjoyment. I don't expect to post this many from each wedding, but I can't help myself with this one. BTW, I LOVE the black and white conversion I created. I know that's kind of arrogant, but there's a difference between just converting a photo to grayscale and making great looking monochromatic image. These remind me of what my photos used to look like when we would process them in the lab ourselves and dodge and burn and use contrast filters - it was a much more involved process than just printing a negative on black and white paper. I will probably continue to adjust and perfect my B&W conversion preset, but I'm pretty happy with it now. On to the photos, starting with the rehearsal dinner...

Walking out to the trolley to meet Mike.

Seeing each other for the first time that day on the trolley.

Katie and Mike's first dance was a surprise to everyone - they choreographed an entire dance to "You're The One That I Want" from the movie Grease. I was amazed. It was awesome. Hopefully I can get the video from them and post a link here.

This might be my favorite image from the reception. They're both barely touching the ground, the girl in the background is hollering at them, there's a ton of flowing movement... I love it.

Katie + Mike

I finally got the majority of the photos processed from Katie and Mike's wedding this weekend. I took an unprecedented (for me) number of pictures; almost 1,800 over 2 days. So I'm having trouble narrowing down the number of images to post on this blog - therefor I'm just going to post a bunch.

Let me say that this was one of the coolest, most fun weddings I have been to. Even though it rained on the big day, the backup location was no less, if not even more, spectacular than the original ceremony location. It didn't even feel like you were in Cincinnati. Pyramid Hill is such a great location that no one has ever heard of. I mean some of the photo opportunities were breathtaking - a photographer could spend a week there and not exhaust the possibilities. And Katie and Mike, as you can tell from their pictures, had a great time. Congratulations guys - let me know how France was!
